A IRIS reseller relationship is built around a license to resell IRIS within a metropolitan area, or other regional boundary. With this agreement, the reseller acquires the exclusive marketing rights to IRIS within that region. In other words, they become the only organization who can sell IRIS within that area. This company is then responsible for setting prices, marketing, signing up users, providing technical support to users, and billing.

As part of this agreement, PropertyKey provides the technical expertise to set up and maintain the IRIS data and IRIS Server for this new regional "Grid". The reseller doesn't need to be concerned with how to acquire data, convert data, deal with server hardware, or any other technical detail. PropertyKey handles all of these details. The reseller's only job is to service the end users in their area.

In the development of our on-line products, PropertyKey frequently plays the role of "Data Broker". Our products are best-of-breed online data access tools. These tools are useless, however, if the data you want to access is not available. Also, many organizations expend a great deal of effort to maintain their own detailed databases. This data benefits only themselves, even though many others might benefit from access to it. PropertyKey has found that it can be very profitable to combine an existing database owned by an organization with our online information systems to create a valuable product. This product then extends our user base into new areas, and benefits all involved.

There are many kinds of data which may prove to be profitable additions to systems. Whether the Data Provider has property tax records, parcel maps, phone directories, property sales information, plat maps, digital images, driver's license information, consumer information, etc., it can probably be used to create or augment one of PropertyKey's information systems. Any data that can be referenced to a piece of property, or an individual who lives at a property, can be used in IRIS.  And almost all of it can be of use to some of our users.

As in every business, PropertyKey must be attentive to the trade groups within our market segment. These industry groups help to guide our product development to better suit the needs of our users, as well as potentially driving the development of new grids, or product locations. From time to time, an industry group approaches PropertyKey about providing our service to all of the group's membership. PropertyKey can provide discounted rates for large groups, supplement the available data with additional public or private information, or even develop a new grid if the grid isn't currently available.

Throughout PropertyKey's history, a great deal of time has been spent creating relationships with government agencies. This is because they are most frequently the organizations who have data, and the one's with the greatest need to access that data. These are the factors which drive all of PropertyKey's business, so we have put a lot of effort into working with government agencies.

Whether an agency is interested in increasing the public's ability to access the government data, reclaiming money spent to maintain the data, gaining access to their own data through a more powerful and flexible system, or acquiring pictures of the properties in their area, PropertyKey is experienced at solving many of the needs of these government agencies. We are always interested in working with Government Agencies to create agreements that profit both sides.
